Bradley Park – East Brownstone & Care Center
As autumn settles in, construction is in full swing at Wesley Bradley Park, and each building is moving steadily toward exciting milestones. Here’s a quick look at what’s happening—and what’s next.
Site work has started for the Barndt Family Rehabilitation & Care Center. The construction team is managing some soil issues and hopes to proceed with the next step of pouring the footings later this month before the rains begin.
The dry weather has been a blessing for buttoning up the East Brownstone. The roof is nearly completed, and windows are going in to keep the building dry going into winter. Soon, the decks will be tented to apply waterproofing materials. Once this is finished, the tents will be removed.
Interior work—including plumbing, electrical and sheet rock—is ongoing and to be followed by painting and finishes. “I’m feeling good about where we are,” said Walsh Superintendent Anthony Mizen.
Joan and Nicole on the community relations team had a chance to walk through the building and see the future homes taking shape. They have been working with families to make customization selections and upgrades for these new East Brownstone apartments. The deadline to select finishes and upgrades is coming up soon. Be sure to reserve your apartment this month to have these options.

Des Moines – Creekside
Permit review continues for Creekside, a new independent building on the Des Moines campus. With four floors of spacious apartments, private balconies, its very own club room, and new outdoor amenities; Creekside will bring much-needed apartment availability to our flagship campus. We anticipate that we’ll be ready to take reservations in early 2026 and start construction in early spring.
Des Moines – Terrace Renovation
The Terrace dining room and auditorium renovation is scheduled to begin October 27th. Plans are in final review with subcontractors, the City of Des Moines and the Department of Health. When finished, The Terrace will be home to the Julia C. Moser Performing Arts Center, a new modern dining room and enhanced bistro. “We’re bringing The Terrace up to date,” said Kevin Anderson, Wesley President & CEO. “It will feel as new as the rest of the campus with these improvements.”
Spring Glen – Permit Update
Civil plans have been approved, and the next iteration of permit drawings will be submitted to King County this week. We expect to have a building permit close to or shortly after the end of this year. In the meantime, we continue to work with our contractor and financing teams to develop the schedule for this significant project.
