Some things that you can do to reduce your risk of cancer are listed below Don't use tobacco. Using any type of tobacco puts you on a collision course with cancer. Tobacco has been linked to cancer of lung, bladder, cervix, kidney, oral cavity and pancreas. Eat a healthy diet. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans. Eat lighter and leaner by choosing fewer high-fat foods. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so only in moderation. Maintain a healthy weight and be physically active. Join an exercise group and or get out and walk. Protect yourself from the sun. Avoid the midday sun and stay in the shade. If you are going to be in the sun cover exposed areas and use sunscreen.
