At Wesley Homes, residents and their families are at the center of everything we do. We compassionately serve Northwest seniors daily and have been doing so since 1944. As a not-for-profit organization, our focus is on quality resident and patient care rather than bottom-line profitability. Celebrate the Tree of Lights Season by making a gift in memory or honor of a loved one! By honoring one who is living or memorializing one you have lost, you can help provide peace of mind and transform the life of a resident or employee who needs financial assistance. Give to the Circle of Concern Resident Fund The Circle of Concern program makes it possible for Wesley Homes to continue to provide housing for residents who have outlived their resources through no fault of their own. We create stories of kindness during a vulnerable time with your help. Thirteen seniors and their families were provided profound relief when their care and medical supplies were supported through Circle of Concern this past year. We are touched by stories of gratitude from residents who tell us they never imagined they would need to ask for help… and are provided dignity and given hope by this program. Give to the Employee Assistance Fund This fund allows the Foundation to provide emergency relief to staff who are experiencing difficulties meeting their financial obligations, often due to unforeseen medical expenses. Because of philanthropic support, 66 employees received grants last year. If you prefer, you may designate your gift to “Greatest Need.” This allows the Foundation to respond quickly as needs arise and provide funding for special projects or programs. For example, Greatest Need gifts allowed the Life Enrichment Program to purchase the equipment necessary for “Brain Fit,” an educational series which has benefited hundreds of residents. If you needed a helping hand, wouldn’t it be a comfort to know someone was there for you? We invite you to you to celebrate the Tree of Lights festivities and enable us to help those in their time of need. Please take a moment to click the button below and list the names ($10 minimum per name please) of loved ones you wish to recognize. We will then hang a personalized Tree of Lights ornament for each name on a designated Christmas tree at the Des Moines or Lea Hill campus to be celebrated throughout the Holiday Season. Warm wishes, blessings and thank you. If you have questions or need assistance with an online donation, please call Marian Ohara at 206.870.1334 or Julie Fraser at 206.870.1262.
