Exciting Changes Underway Across Wesley Campuses

Wesley Bradley Park – East Brownstone & Care Center

With three stories over parking and more than double the number of apartments than the West Brownstone, the East Brownstone is visually impressive. It is exciting to see the stone siding and apartment balconies that are in progress outside. Inside, work is happening from the top floor down. The third floor is already getting prepped for paint, and the crews are  finishing drywall on level one. Once painting and gypcrete are complete, cabinets will be installed followed by flooring. This is the stage when apartments really begin to take shape.

Over 50% of the apartments are reserved and the campus is running at full occupancy. We still have some wonderful apartments available. Reserving early gives you a clearer move-in timeline and more time to plan with confidence. The East Brownstone is projected to be move-in ready by November 2026.

The Barndt Family Rehabilitation & Care Center is scheduled for completion in 2027, a bit later than originally scheduled due to permit delays. Construction on the spa pavilion begins this month while crews continue work on concrete and foundation. Framing is expected to begin in May.

Wesley Des Moines Terrace Renovation

The Terrace dining room and auditorium renovation started last fall. As with many renovations of established buildings, unexpected conditions can impact cost and timelines. As a result, completion is now anticipated this fall.

When finished, The Terrace will be home to the Julia C. Moser Performing Arts Center, a new modern dining room and enhanced bistro. These new amenities will also be easily accessible to Creekside residents via a covered walkway. We’re excited to share updated renderings that highlight how the refreshed space will look and feel.

Wesley Des Moines – Creekside

Creekside is a new independent living building planned for the Des Moines campus with four floors of spacious apartments over a level of enclosed parking, a top-floor club room, and new outdoor amenities. Interest is strong, with nearly 400 families in the Wesley Des Moines Captain’s Club waiting to be contacted about future apartment opportunities. Creekside will introduce more than 100 new residences to help meet that demand.

We anticipate starting construction on Creekside in April 2026 with a completion date near the end of 2027. As construction pricing, financing, and timelines are finalized, we are also preparing floor plans and pricing information. We expect to begin taking reservations once construction begins.

Wesley Spring Glen Update

We continue working with our development, architectural, and construction partners on this significant Wesley project. Permit review with King County is ongoing, and we are coordinating financing with the goal of starting construction next spring.

King County Permits: We have resolved all major site-related issues, including drainage and slope requirements. Our architect has submitted updated town center plans to the county. After receiving comments in late December, our team is preparing responses, and we anticipate building permits will be issued once this review process is complete.

Construction: Walsh Construction Company has received updated drawings and is preparing an initial project cost estimate. This will allow us to finalize key financial details, including entrance deposits and monthly fees.

Financing: We continue working with development and lending partners to determine the best timing and structure for financing. Wesley Spring Glen will be a major addition to Wesley’s portfolio, and we are committed to launching the project from a strong financial position.

Washington State Certificate of Need for skilled nursing: State regulations require a Certificate of Need to build new skilled nursing and long-term care settings. We estimate the approval process will take 9–12 months and must be completed before construction can begin.

Timing: Due to permitting timelines, site preparation requirements, and seasonal construction considerations, we are now targeting a spring 2027 construction start. With this timeline, Wesley Spring Glen is projected to open in fall 2029.
