Bradley Park – East Brownstone & Care Center
During this month of gratitude, we have so much to be thankful for at Wesley Bradley Park. Construction continues to be on track, and each building is moving steadily toward exciting milestones. Here’s a quick look at what’s happening—and what’s next.

Site work has started for the Barndt Family Rehabilitation & Care Center. The construction team is managing foundation work in between rainstorms. Aerial photos show the outline of the new care center beginning to take shape.
The East Brownstone is an impressive building with Tyvek wrap, chimneys, and even exterior decks taking shape. Inside, plumbing, electrical work, and sheetrock installation are in progress. Apartments are taking shape, and over 20 families have already selected their new homes. We still have some wonderful apartments available and if you want the best choice and to pick your own finishes, now is the time to reserve! Plus, you’ll have plenty of time to prepare for your move. The East Brownstone is projected to be move-in ready by this time next year.
Our community relations team at Wesley Bradley Park is working hard to help East Brownstone depositors make their customization selections and upgrades for their new apartments. Electrical requests are completed, but there is still time to select finishes and upgrade appliances. The deadline is this month! Contact Joan or Nicole today to reserve your apartment so you don’t miss out.
Des Moines – Creekside
Permit review continues for Creekside, a new independent building on the Des Moines campus. With four floors of spacious apartments, private balconies, its very own club room, and new outdoor amenities, Creekside will bring much-needed apartment availability to our flagship campus. More information will be available in early 2026. We anticipate that we’ll be ready to take reservations and start construction in early spring.
Des Moines – Terrace Renovation
The Terrace dining room and auditorium renovation started last month and is expected to be completed next summer. When finished, The Terrace will be home to the Julia C. Moser Performing Arts Center, a modern dining room and enhanced bistro. We’re excited to share these new renderings showing how the new space will look and feel.

Spring Glen Update
Civil plans have been given the green light, and the next iteration of permit drawings will be submitted to King County this week. We expect to have a building permit close to or shortly after the end of this year. In the meantime, we continue to work with our contractor and financing teams to develop the schedule for this significant Wesley project. Here is a breakdown of the key elements.
- King County Permits: We have resolved all issues related to the site, drainage, slopes, etc. Our architect has completed the changes to the Town Center removing the church offices and submitted them to the County. We expect the county to have one final round of comments and possibly issue building permits in the first quarter of next year.
- Construction: Walsh Construction Company has the updated drawings from the architect and will be pricing them over the next few months. We should have an initial price from them for the project sometime early next year. Having the construction price allows us to pull the full financial proforma together to determine final Entrance Deposits and monthly fees.
- Financing: We continue to work with our developer and lenders to project when and how to finance the project. Spring Glen will be a major addition to Wesley’s portfolio. We want to make sure that we start this project in a strong financial position.
- Washington State Certificate of Need for skilled nursing: Regulations require a Certificate of Need to build new skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. Because of the extended delays, we exhausted our limit for renewals and are now having to start this process again. We estimate it will take 9-12 months to receive the Certificate of Need which is required to start construction.
- Timing: The site work required for this building is extensive and we must start in spring to keep from incurring wet weather conditions and costs. This, in addition to the above, leads us to anticipate a spring 2027 start of construction. With this latest projection, Wesley Spring Glen would open in fall 2029, about 2.5 years after the start of construction and about 4 years from now.
We are reaching out to those who have made deposits for Wesley Spring Glen to discuss the new timeline and individual situations. If you have questions, please contact us at marketing@wesleyhomes.org.
