Sporting Excitement at Wesley Bradley Park

Wesley Bradley Park is gearing up for its Phase II expansion which will not only offer more homes and amenities, but will also feature a pickleball court. In anticipation of this expansion of the campus, the community came together for a friendly game on an improvised court. The game provided a chance for residents of all skill levels to participate and connect with one another.

Chelsea Beck, Wesley Bradley Park’s Health & Fitness Trainer, highlighted the accessibility of pickleball for older adults. She mentioned how the slower paced gameplay makes it easier for all to participate compared to other sports like tennis.

“It was great to see so many people coming out to play or even just watch. I was happy to see some individuals with Parkinson’s disease joining in the fun,” Chelsea remarked.

Apart from the pickleball game, Wesley Bradley Park offers a diverse array of activities to cater to the varied interests of residents. From movie nights to day trips and delightful ice cream socials, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

In addition to the pickleball game, the community also held its 2nd annual golf tournament. Organized by Chaplain Jon Cortese and Chelsea, the goal of this event has been to get people out of their comfort zone with a unique and enjoyable community activity. The game featured a creative twist, with nine holes spread throughout the building. It was a lighthearted and fun opportunity for residents to test their golfing skills and share some memorable moments. Notably, a resident who is legally blind achieved an impressive hole-in-one!

The new building will have underground parking, inviting community spaces, and outdoor amenities such as raised gardens and a BBQ area. These additions will enhance the already thriving community and provide more opportunities for residents.

Wesley Bradley Park consistently strives to create an enjoyable and connected environment for all lifestyles. The recent pickleball game and golf tournament are just two examples of the types of fun and engaging events within the community. With the upcoming Phase II expansion, the Puyallup campus is committed to offering exceptional amenities and experiences that contribute to a fulfilling retirement lifestyle for all residents.
