Welcome New Residents of Bradley Park!

Wesley Bradley Park residents are now moving in!

Purchased in 2009 by Wesley, the 19 acre property on South Hill is now officially Wesley Bradley Park and is home to 100 residents as of April 30, 2019. Site planning and building layout started in early 2015 with construction beginning in March 2017. Since then, Absher Construction, Wesley staff and future residents have photographed the progress for those who eagerly awaited the completion of their new home.

Earlier last month, Bradley Park Ambassadors and Pioneers were able to tour the building as the construction entered its final phase. They got a firsthand look at their new apartment homes before moving in.

“You could just feel the anticipation of everyone walking into the building with excitement and big smiles on their faces,” said Campus Administrator TC Fraser.

Now, the dream is becoming a reality as Bradley Park’s Pioneer residents move into the Lodge throughout April and May.

It is a busy time, and it’s been all hands on deck with staff from Des Moines, Lea Hill and the corporate office working to open the building and facilitate dozens of moves each week. Wesley’s Catered Living program will be ready for residents who move to The Commons apartments beginning May 7.

TC and his team are focused on training new staff, setting up campus services and assembling resident committees and the resident council. Resident committees are needed to help set up and maintain the library, resident gardens, creativity center and wood shop.

The application for licensing The Arbor, Bradley Park’s assisted living memory care wing, is in process. Once open, The Arbor will be staffed for 17 residents in nicely appointed apartments with pleasant community gathering spaces and a patio garden.

Wesley is also coordinating with Pierce College to provide various life-enriching programs in and around the campus.

“Bradley Park will be the first community of this kind to offer such a robust network of services for adults 62 years of age or better in Puyallup,” said T.C.
